eMedical was developed by a group of general practitioners in Melbourne, Australia. Their intention was to improve access to quality information for their patients, as it has become increasingly difficult for doctors to provide all of this information during consultations.

eMedical remains owned and managed by doctors. The eMedical team now includes IT professionals and researchers who are committed to bringing to you a broad range of health information, the most up to date health news, and the best health advice. Most importantly, you know that all these services are provided by practicing Australian doctors.

The components of the eMedical site have been designed so that on joining, you are able to make it your own. Depending on your health interests and needs, we are able to inform you of new knowledge and treatments, allow you access to chat rooms run by doctors, and provide direction to support groups and organizations.
